There’s no limit to the quantity of equipment and or supplies you can request. Returning used needles or syringes is recommended, but not required in order for you to have access to new supplies. We encourage anyone accessing our NSP services to ensure the safe disposal of supplies either through our office, satellite sites, community disposal bins or a pharmacy nearest you.

Tips to Reduce Risks
- Use sterile unused needles and equipment every time to reduce the incidence of infection.
- Do not throw away needles in the trash. Use a sharps container to dispose of needles after each use (disposal is free at all locations). Also, be on the lookout in your community for disposal bins.
- HIV & HEP C are carried in the blood stream. Although treatment is available there is still no cure for either. Be informed and do not share used needles.
- Substance abuse can lead to impaired decision making with regards to sexual practices. HIV can be passed during condom less sex. Condoms are available for free at some locations.
- Educational materials are available on a variety of harm reduction tips.
